Bad empoyers beware!

The poisoned chalice is open for business; and our business is all about employment - bad employment. This is the start of a repository for employees who are genuinely wronged by their employers and want to have their say. The poisoned chalice is not a tribunal and we cannot undo the wrong doing, but in the spirit of helping your fellow man (or woman) from drinking from the same poisoned chalice, you now have the chance to spell out what was wrong with your last or current job and help others avoid the same pitfall.

Please - no anecdotal rantings! First hand experiences only. No need to compromise yourself, but do spell out the facts of how you were wronged and what if anything you have managed to do about it. The poisoned chalice will link to as many other people and employment agencies as possible and start making the business of recruitment difficult for these named organisations.

The usual stuff - avoid expletives and personal attacks. Just stick to the facts. Nothing holds up to better scrutiny than the truth. Think of this blog as a miniature "wikileaks" to out bad employers and bad employment practices. The poisoned chalice will also allow the right of reply to employers where they dare to turn up and defend themselves.

The poisoned chalice's decision to publish / not publish will be final.

You know how it works..."Oh yes, the interview process went well and they really wanted your skills and the promises flowed (from the poisoned chalice!) before your first day at work. Then the real manager turned up with his (her) management skills or lack of the real company ethos was shown to you." Didn't take long for the milk to turn sour did it?

No don't get me started with Huawei...OK, I take it back, I will get started on Huawei. Liars, slave drivers, arrogant, rude, aggressive and blunt are some of the nicer characteristics of this technologically brilliant but repressively minded employer. Their attitude to employees in pre-sales and sales is simply down right poor and even atrocious. They don't deserve to hire the services of the UK's prison community or drug fuelled underclass. Their acumen in integration into local countries where they have established a base is non-existent. So once this blog becomes established on the net, then Huawei beware. The poisoned chalice will starve you of your feedstock of currently, blissfully unaware future employees.

The fight back starts here.
